Paul Chapman (born 5 November 1981) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for Geelong and Essendon in the AFL.

After playing TAC Cup for Northern Knights, Chapman was drafted by Geelong in 1999 and made his debut during the 2000 season. After playing 13 games over his first two seasons, he played 16 games in 2002 before returning to the VFL for the finals series, where he was part of the Cat's premiership side. Chapman then became a full-time member of the senior side, playing every game in 2003 and 2004. He brought up his 100th appearance early in 2006, and was awarded the club's best and fairest at the end of the year. The following year, Chapman kicked four goals in the Cat's drought-breaking Grand Final thrashing of Port Adelaide.

In 2008, he was a part of the Geelong side that fell to Hawthorn in the grand final. Chapman was named All-Australian in 2009, and won the Norm Smith Medal as best-afield as the Cats won their second grand final in three years. He backed that up with a second All-Australian selection in 2010 but Geelong fell just short of a fourth straight grand final appearance. After playing his 200th game early in 2011, Chapman won his third premiership medal as the Cats defeated Collingwood to win the flag. He played 21 games in 2012, but managed just eight in 2013 as he suffered from hamstring issues. In his 250th game, a qualifying final against Fremantle, Chapman started the game in the green substitute's vest. He showed his class the following week, kicking four goals against Port Adelaide, but was suspended for a bump and missed Geelong's preliminary final loss to Hawthorn. That was the end of his Geelong career, with the club announcing he would not be offered a new contract.

Essendon showed an interest in the three-time premiership player and he was traded to the Bombers for a late pick. Debuting for the Bombers in the opening round of 2014, Chapman played 20 games for the year as Essendon reached the finals. He managed just nine games during an injury-plagued 2015 and announced his retirement at the end of the season.

Chapman coached Werribee Districts in the Western Region Football League in 2016, and Greenvale in the Essendon District Football League from 2017 to 2019.
