Not to be confused with Phil Kneebone
Mr. Kneebone (or sometimes referred as umpire Kneebone) was a umpire in the SAFA (now SANFL). He is best known for umpiring the 1902 SAFA Grand Final. Port Adelaide, who were meant to play in the final, disqualified themselves from the game when the SAFA appointed Kneebone as umpire unless a substitute was appointed. Although this threat was not taken seriously, Port Adelaide did not play and North Adelaide took their spot and won by 37 points.
