Matthew Collins (born 2 February 1977) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for Adelaide and Melbourne in the AFL.

After playing for the Northern Knights in the TAC Cup, Collins was drafted to Adelaide in 1994. He made his debut for the Crows in 1996 and played 14 games before requesting a trade back to Victoria at the end of the 1997 season. Collins was traded to Melbourne along with Brent Williams for Nathan Bassett. He played 29 games for the Demons over four years, with his best season coming in 2000 when he played 14 games including the losing Grand Final. Collins was delisted at the end of the 2001 season. Collins then joined the Northern Bullants where he played the next two years. He spent three years with Goulburn Valley Football League side Seymour.
