Lamaro returned to his junior club, Euroa in the Goulburn Valley Football League where he played for a decade, winning the club's best and fairest in 2002, a year in which he also made a VFL appearance for Carlton. Lamaro joined Essendon District Football League club Craigieburn for 2009 before spending the following season as playing coach of Mernda in the Northern Football League. He shifted to Violet Town in the Kyabram and District Football League as playing coach in 2011.
