The East Fremantle Football Club was formed in 1898 and is the most successful side in Western Australia, their 29 premierships placing them second behind Port Adelaide in the country.
Easts were remarkably successful in their early days, winning 11 flags between 1900 and 1918 including four on the trot between 1908 and 1911, a feat they repeated between 1928 and 1931. The Sharks' most recent flag came in 1998.
The club's city zone includes Perth's inner southern suburbs such as Applecross, Melville, Bicton, Willetton and Canning Vale, while its country zone includes Geraldton, Northampton, Shark Bay and Mt Magnet.
