Brett Lovett (born 20 March 1966) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for Melbourne in the AFL.
After playing under-19s for Hawthorn, Lovett crossed to Melbourne and made his senior debut in 1986, playing eight games for the year. He played in the Demon's losing 1988 grand final and represented Victoria between 1989 and 1991. Lovett was named Melbourne's vice-captain in 1990 and played 235 games between 1986 and 1997, but could not take the field during 1998 and announced his retirement during the season due to a chronic groin injury.[1]
Lovett was playing-coach of Wonthaggi in the West Gippsland-Latrobe Football League between 1999 and 2001. He then coached Victorian Football League clubs Frankston (2003-2008), Sandringham (2011) and Casey (2012).
