No 10, 1996 AFL Pre-Season Draft
Andrew Leoncelli (born 17 July 1974) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for Melbourne in the AFL.
Leoncelli was drafted by Carlton in 1993 but spent the 1993 season playing for the Blues' reserves. After being delisted, he moved to Brisbane to study at the University of Queensland, before returning to Victoria in 1995 and winning a best and fairest with amateur club Old Xaverians. He was picked up by Melbourne in the pre-season draft and debuted late in the 1996 season. In 1997, he finished third in the Demons' best and fairest despite being limited to 12 games due to a stress fracture. Leoncelli was a regular member of Melbourne's midfield between 1998 and 2002, picking up 16 possessions in the 2000 Grand Final. After 146 games for the Demons he announced his retirement late in the 2003 season, having been hampered by an ankle injury. Leoncelli joined Melbourne's board in 2007, retiring in 2010.
