First QuarterEdit

Port and Geelong play a great game of footy with Geelong leading by 2 points at quarter time. Geelong dominating early but Port Adelaide came back to control the last 5 mins of the quarter. Port's Matthew Lobbe kicking a goal and playing well with Ebert, Boak and Cornes leading disposals for the Power. Johnson, Bartel and Guthrie leading the diposals for Geelong. Joel Selwood quiet with 3 disposals.

Second QuarterEdit

Geelong not making the best shots at inside 50. Chad Wingard and Justin Westhoff are quiet. Geelong missing set shots which is proving costly. Port Adelaide veteran Kane Cornes doing an excellent job on Geelong skipper Joel Selwood with 8 disposals and Selwood on 4 disposals. Port has limited Geelong's ability to work the ball into attack. When the Cats do Port's defence have been able to work it back out. Port are applying all the pressure on the Cats & are making it difficult for Geelong to clear from their defensive area. Geelong finish the second quarter with no goals as Port Adelaide score 4.1 and are leading by 18 points. Hamish Hartlett and Matt White have 2 goals each, Ebert, Boak and Cornes lead the disposals for Port Adelaide. Geelong's Mathew Stoaks has 16 disposals.

Third QuarterEdit

Port have kicked the last 7 goals & lead by a massive 36 points. The Cats have not goaled since the 30 minute mark of the opening quarter. Geelong are struggling to score against Port defense. Geelong kicks a long sought for goal by Mark Bilcavs and Josh Walker kicks a goal soon after. Sam Gray replies to the Cats and kicks a goal. Jay Schulz kicks his first goal of the match. Chad Wingard now heating up scoring another goal for the Power. Robbie Gray scores his second goal. Port midfield are playing the best they can and paying off.

Fourth QuarterEdit

Jarman Impey has replaced Sam Gray. Hunt has replaced Walker. Tom Hawkins kicks his second goal. Wingard kicks another extending their lead. Carlile has also done the job on Hawkins, he has kept him to 6 possession & just 2 goals. Each time the Cats looked to gain some momentum Carlile has managed to deny Hawkins an opportunity. Travis Boak drives one home having a great game.
