The 1990 SANFL Grand Final would be contested between Port Adelaide and Glenelg. The match would be won by the Magpies by 15 points. The grand final saw Port complete a three-peat. The 1990 Magarey Medalist Scott Hodges beat the all-time record for most goals kicked by a player in the SANFL surpassing Rick Davies by two goals. The 1990 grand final would be the last match played before Adelaide joined the AFL.
